In RAW PRACTICE: SYNAESTHETIX
Ian Kaler explores the connections between movement, video design, light and
electronic music together with video artist Dafne Narvaez Berlfein and musician
rRoxymore. A live camera transmits silhouetted images of the choreography,
creating an independent narrative that expands reality and allows new
relationships between body, image and space to emerge. In this immersive,
choreo-cinematographic setting, the outstanding sensitivity of Ian Kaler's work
becomes tangible once again, as does his ability to create subtle resonances and
make them recognisable to the audience.
