Tanzquartier Wien - Halle G
For his new group choreography, Ian Kaler revisits his 2010 graduation
production
Save a horse ride a cowboy.
Kaler, who found his love for horses at the age of 6, and the PARASOL
participants will explore connections between his choreographic work and the
interaction and (nonverbal) communication with horses and contextualize them
within the movement practice of riding.
Ecto-Fictions will develop a fictitious documentary stage narrative that will address questions concerning togetherness and cohesion. The title already alludes to the quality of an ‘external’ perception and reflects on processes of projection and ascription in the interaction and encounter with animals. Ecto-Fictions represents the attempt to create a space for enhanced and utopian visions of corpo*realit*ies, where attributions and classifications can be studied.
